Looking to acquire custom player names for Minecraft PE? The mod titled Ace’s Custom Names (Cool Custom Names) makes this possible. All you need is a name tag to rename players. This can be quite handy for assigning ranks like staff or moderator, or even something humorous like “Super Pig.” However, there is a downside: the name tags reset when you exit the world.
How does it work?
To promote (or more accurately, rename) a player in MCPE, you will need a name tag with a customizable name. Use an anvil to rename the tag. In this instance, I chose to name it “Admin – MCPEDL“
The name tag can only be used on other players in MCPE. If you want a new name for yourself, you will need to give the tag to another player and let them assist you.
Just remember to include their actual name; otherwise, it will be difficult to track who the player really is. The new name will reset as soon as the player leaves Minecraft PE.
The chat will also reflect the new names.
