“ON/OFF Switch” is a compact map featuring a toggle for turning the game on and off in Super Mario Maker 2. The creation utilizes command blocks, Redstone, and several other maps, allowing the creator to closely replicate elements and functionalities from the game Super Mario Maker 2. However, a notable limitation is that this is not an add-on, meaning you cannot implement these switches within your own Minecraft world.
How does it work?
Upon entering the world, you will encounter a barrel labeled “you need,” which contains everything required to activate the on/off switch block.
Start by removing all items from the chest and activate all command blocks by clicking the “On / Off lever.” There’s no need for you to search or create anything on your own. Next, place an armor stand and label it “switch” using a name tag. At this point, the armor stand should become invisible, and a switch will appear. If you break the armor stand that serves as the base for the switch, you won’t be able to proceed.
After that, you’ll need to spawn chickens or parrots to fill the red and blue blocks. You can obtain them by pressing the block switch; they will simply hover in the air. If one of your blocks goes missing (either a chicken or a parrot), you can use the item “Break Blocks,” which is a diamond sword also found in the chest.
Chickens have blue concrete blocks that will appear in front of them once the switch is turned on. Parrots feature red concrete blocks that will show up in front of them when the switch is turned off. To toggle between the red and blue blocks, you need to stand under the block and jump.
You can attempt to drop various items into the switch block in Minecraft, such as arrows and tridents.
An alternative method for switching is to drop a falling block, like sand, above the switch block.
To reset everything back to its original state, keep the lever in the upward position. This will release the animals and cause the armor stand to disappear. You can also break the toggle block if it’s obstructing you.
If the switch is malfunctioning, there is a button in the left corner labeled “Press if not working correctly”. Clicking this will clear any unnecessary Redstone blocks. Additionally, if something isn’t functioning properly—make sure that the lever is positioned correctly.
