Map: Capture The Flag: The Runaway Edition [Minigame]

The mini-game on the map “Capture The Flag: The Runaway Edition” is quite engaging, especially since it allows you to play with friends. The main objective is to steal the opposing team’s flag from their tower and return it to your own. This map stands out from other similar maps for Minecraft PE, as it features two distinct modes. Additionally, there’s a small element of survival gameplay involved, requiring players to gather equipment from the surroundings.

How to Play?

To start playing in Minecraft PE, at least two players are needed. After selecting teams, begin the game. Before starting, you can choose a mode, after which the game will commence on your selected map.

To pick up the flag, a player in MCPE must be within one block of the flag relative to their feet. Once this is done, the flag will automatically rise above the player’s head and follow them. Keep in mind that if the carrier falls too quickly, the flag will drop (but can still be retrieved).

Carry the flag through the doors of your tower to score points in normal mode or win in escape mode.

If the player holding the flag is killed, they will drop the flag (which will remain where the player died). If a team member dies, they will respawn after 5 seconds.

Modes

The map includes the following two modes:

Normal Mode

The flag appears atop the respective towers. The first team to capture the enemy’s flag and bring it back to their tower three times wins the game. The game starts immediately. Random loot chests are generated in nearby houses for MCPE.

Escape Mode

This mode differs slightly from traditional Capture The Flag in Minecraft Pocket Edition. The first minute is dedicated to gathering resources. Collect loot from the environment and prepare yourself. When the timer runs out, teams will be teleported back to their towers, and the flag will appear in the center. Notably, the flag will flee from you as you approach. Once captured, the flag will no longer run away. The opposing team can eliminate the carrier and take the flag. The first team to bring the flag back to their own tower wins.

Features

• This map searches for teams before launching, so it won’t work in single-player mode. A minimum of two players is required.
• Currently, there is only one map (more to come!).
• Random loot will spawn in neighboring houses on the map.
• A dispenser will appear in the towers during normal mode.
• Several items may appear in chests (llama llama is currently the only custom item).

Rules

• Play fair.
• Do not switch the game difficulty to peaceful.
• Ensure that each player selects only one mode.
• Play in adventure mode.

Installing the Capture The Flag: The Runaway Edition Map (.mcworld)

• Download the map labeled “.mcworld” below.
• Run the downloaded file to import the map into MCPE.
• Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, then select the imported world.

Installing the Capture The Flag: The Runaway Edition Map (.zip):

• Download the map.
• Extract the map from the archive.
• Move the map to the path: “/games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds”.
• Open Minecraft PE > Play > Select the installed map.
