This guide is designed for players eager to learn everything about mobs. Here, I will provide information on the zombie in Minecraft PE
Zombies are classified as hostile mobs (they attack players if they come within their line of sight).
Zombies are a very common hostile mob that appears frequently at night in the overworld. They spawn in groups of 1-4 during nighttime. You can also find a zombie spawner in abandoned mineshafts.
Zombies can detect players from up to 40 blocks away and will immediately start chasing them. This mob will never dive into water, even if a player is present there. But what happens at dawn? All zombies begin to burn under sunlight and seek shelter. A helmet can protect a zombie from sunlight, but it will eventually break due to damage absorption.
If a zombie spots a villager (previously described in another guide – Villager [Mobs][Guides Minecraft PE]), it will pursue him until it succeeds in killing him. The villager, however, will try to escape at all costs. What about iron golems, the guardians of the villagers? A zombie will never initiate an attack on a golem; it will only defend itself.
When engaging in combat with this mob, it’s important to remember that the lower its health, the stronger it becomes. In Minecraft PE, zombies cannot break down doors. An iron golem will eliminate infected villagers.
