Underwater Fortress [Minecraft PE Guides]

This guide is designed for enthusiasts of new features. Recently, an update was released that introduced underwater temples, which I will discuss in Minecraft PE 0.16.0/0.15.9

Let’s start with the materials used to construct the underwater temple:
Prismarine
Dark Prismarine
Prismarine Brick
Sea Lantern
Gold Block
Wet Sponge

The temple is guarded by guardians, and inside the temple are even more formidable mobs – elder guardians:

The underwater temple consists of a vast number of rooms, many of which serve no purpose other than aesthetics. You might find it interesting to take a look at the three floors of the temple in cross-section:

As you can see, it’s very easy to get lost in the temple. I faced this issue myself. However, after exploring several temples, you’ll likely become accustomed to navigating them. It’s worth noting that confusion isn’t the biggest challenge; dealing with the guardians is far more difficult. It’s advisable to approach the temple only after significant progress on land. At minimum, you should have diamond armor. This isn’t just a village that can be raided without preparation. You need to prepare for several days. I’ll cover the necessary preparations in another guide; for now, let me provide you with an overview.

Many may think they can simply hide from the guardians, but I’m afraid there’s more to the story regarding the elder guardians. As long as there is at least one elder guardian alive in the temple, you will be afflicted with the Fatigue III effect, preventing you from breaking blocks. Therefore, you must clear out the temple, which requires considerable resources and effort.

But what’s the reward for all this? I almost forgot to mention it. In the main chamber, there is a cube measuring 8x8x8, containing eight gold blocks. Additionally, each guardian drops sponge, which can also be quite beneficial. In some other rooms, wet sponges spawn similarly, providing further incentive for players. To be precise, there are three elder guardians that spawn within the temple.
