How to install textures on Minecraft PE 0.16.0/0.15.6?

If you’re unsure about how to install textures for Minecraft PE 0.15+ and 0.16.0+, we are here to assist you! Installing texture packs in Minecraft Pocket Edition is quite straightforward. All you need to do is download the textures, extract them from the archive, and move them into the “resource_packs” folder. While this may sound simple, let’s go through the installation process step by step.

First, download any textures that catch your eye from our website! For this example, you’ve downloaded the “Retro NES” textures.

Next, if this is your first time installing textures on Minecraft Pocket Edition, navigate to the “com.mojang” folder and create a new folder named “resource_packs”. It should look like this: “com.mojang/resource_packs”:

Then, open the “resource_packs” folder and place the extracted texture files inside it. Make sure the textures have been extracted from their archive before moving them. After that, transfer the folder containing the textures into the “resource_packs” directory.

Now, head over to the settings of Minecraft Pocket Edition — go to the texture pack management section, then click on the installed texture pack to add it to the active textures window.
