In today’s real world, numerous technologies exist that can conceal intricate mechanisms. In Minecraft, you can also utilize such a “system.” Let’s explore how to create a hidden crafting table.
How It Works and Required Materials
The operation of the hidden crafting table is as follows:
- You press a button.
- A crafting table appears.
- You press the button again.
- The crafting table disappears.
Materials needed for this setup:
- 10 quartz blocks;
- 3 redstone torches;
- 3 pieces of redstone;
- 2 pistons;
- 1 sticky piston;
- 1 button;
- 3 repeaters;
- 1 crafting table.
How to Create a Hidden Crafting Table
First, you need to select a location for the mechanism. A pit that is 3 blocks deep and measures 5 by 4 blocks will be required. Once you’ve dug it out, follow these steps:
- place the sticky piston at the bottom of the excavated pit;
- set down 3 quartz blocks next to the piston;
- lay redstone lines to connect the repeater;
- install the repeater on the quartz blocks;
- attach a quartz block with a button to the far redstone;
- put a redstone torch on the quartz block;
- install the repeaters as shown in the screenshot:
- Place quartz blocks beside the repeaters, and on top of them, attach redstone torches;
- Similarly to the previous step, position a quartz block on the sticky piston;
- Add a couple more redstone signals onto the quartz blocks.
After completing all the steps above, you just need to place the crafting table with the pistons.
The task is done! If you feel that the button’s placement isn’t ideal, it can be adjusted.
Now we just have to fill in any gaps with decorative blocks, and we’ll have the desired little room.
Done! And always remember that the workbench can be swapped out for any other block – the only limit is your imagination.
