Just a week has passed, and we have new additions. In addition to the usual fixes, players can expect a menacing mob called the Watcher, along with a new structure – the Ancient City. This can be discovered in the biome of the Dark Depths. Let’s not overlook the experimental features of Minecraft 1.18.30.32 – without them, the content won’t function properly in survival mode.
Watcher
The mob features a variety of characteristics in Minecraft on Android:
- Spawns in the Dark Depths
- Completely blind, relies on hearing
- Textures resemble sculk
- Uses vibrations to navigate
- It’s best to keep your distance
- Sounds from sculk shriekers serve as hunting signals
- Can become angry
- If a player remains inactive for 1 minute, it stops being angry in MCBE
- Can break shields when attacking
- No drops are available
- Can be stealthily bypassed
By monitoring the heartbeat of a creature, you can gauge its level of anger and anticipate when it might attack. The more furious the mob, the faster and stronger its heart beats.
Ancient City
A unique structure that spawns in the deep biome. It is inhabited by guardians and contains valuable items:
- Treasures in chests are surrounded by shrieking sculk
- You can find reinforced deep slate blocks (currently unobtainable in survival)
- Use the command /locate ancientcity to instantly find the city
This restless location has several issues if you download the beta version of Minecraft Bedrock. Its boundaries extend beyond the biome, and a fix for this will be implemented in upcoming test versions. Additionally, bodies of water sometimes disrupt its chunks. Again, a fix is expected within a week or two.
We remind you that to see the latest updates in Minecraft Bedrock Edition, you need to enable experimental settings.
Fixes
The test version Minecraft 1.18.30.32 brings a few bug fixes this week:
