The latest update for Minecraft 1.12 / 1.12.0 has been released. You can now download the newest version for free to explore all the new features it offers. While there aren’t many changes for players, there are several enhancements for map creators and addon developers, along with numerous bug fixes implemented.

• • Item IDs are now synchronized between the client and the server.
• • Automatic filling of command blocks has been introduced in MCPE 1.12.0.
• • A new rule called spawnRadius has been added: players in Minecraft can now set their spawn radius. The radius can be set from 0 to 32, with larger numbers resulting in a wider area where players will spawn randomly. This feature has been adapted from Minecraft Java Edition.
• • Logging has been enabled on Bedrock servers.
• In Minecraft 1.12, Command Blocks allow you to incorporate a delay, which is measured in ticks; 1 second equals 20 ticks.

• • Mob events can now be toggled on and off in world templates.

  • • Event scripts have been added for interacting with elements.
  • • Support for One-shot animations has been added, allowing a single animation to be executed on an object.
  • • Particle emitters can now trigger script events.
  • The Add Block components now utilize JSON schemas.
