But one day he abruptly changes course and moves to the quiet fishing town of Port Wenn on the East Coast, where he once spent childhood vacations with his aunt. The new place seems calm and "right" for a reboot until reality hits his habits: in a small town, everyone knows each other, every conversation instantly becomes public, and patients expect not only treatment but also human involvement.

Best's main problem is not medicine. He handles diagnoses masterfully. His weak point is communication.
