"Star Trek: Starfleet Academy" is a new series in the Star Trek universe that focuses on a "point of entry" through young cadets and their journey from ambition to true responsibility. The story unfolds in the distant future of the franchise — in the 32nd century, when the Federation and Starfleet are recovering from severe upheavals. Against this backdrop, the Academy once again becomes a place where not only discipline and regulations are taught, but where the future of Starfleet is effectively being rebuilt: values, teamwork, and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

The main characters are cadets of a new class. For them, the Academy is both competition and friendship, first serious relationships, and the first real confrontation with the fact that ideals sound beautiful in the classroom but are only tested in crisis. The series balances between teenage dynamics and full-fledged sci-fi: the characters have personal goals and weaknesses, but they will have to unite when a new threat emerges that can strike not only at their educational world but at the entire Federation.
