Orion is a boy who is afraid of everything: dogs, heights, the dark. Especially the dark. He sleeps with the light on and comes up with thousands of ways to avoid it. One day, Darkness itself comes into his room — a huge, kind, but slightly clumsy entity that wants to prove it’s not scary. To convince Orion, Darkness offers him to embark on a nighttime journey through the city. Thus begins their unusual friendship, full of funny situations, discoveries, and gradual overcoming of fears.
The animated film is light, warm, and very soulful. There are no villains, just fear that can be conquered if you look at it closely. The visuals are bright, the nighttime city looks magical, and the soundtrack is cozy. The voice acting is top-notch: Paul Walter Hauser as Darkness is a separate pleasure.
For whom: for children aged 6–12 and adults who want to watch something kind and relaxing. A rating of 6.5 on Kinopoisk is average, but this is exactly the case when the numbers are misleading. Watch to smile and remember that darkness is not an enemy, but just a part of the night.
