Gru is now a family man: wife Lucy, three daughters, and little Gru Jr. He has left villainy behind and lives quietly, but the past catches up with him — an old enemy, Vector, appears, forcing Gru to flee with his family. Along the way, they meet new allies and enemies, and Gru Jr. begins to show an interest in villainy.
The film is full of humor, chases, and the signature minions. Steve Carell as Gru is as charming as ever, and Will Ferrell as the villain adds absurdity. The message: family is more important than anything, even if you’re a former villain. The visuals are bright, and the minions are as funny as always.
For whom: children aged 5–12 and parents looking for a light continuation of the franchise.
